Chetan Baalwadi is a LABORATORY NURSERY SCHOOL run by the Department of Human Development and Family Studies and is a unique set up in the university campus.

Problem Statement

For a school that is designed so carefully and ambitiously, every bit of the school should sing the same tunes. Each detail of the campus should carry forward the philosophy into its application. Unfortunately their signange system does not.

What is the problem?

Research to understand the problem led to the following points that needed to be fixed:
1. Accessibility
a : Positioning of the signange was inappropriate.
b : The signage was not bilingual. The school is focused on promoting Gujarati but the signanges were not in Gujarati.
2. Heuristic The signanges have no visuals nor are aesthetically pleasing. They lack the feel of the environment
3. Maintainance They are made in by non durable/ sustainable materials and are poorly handled
